How to decipher?

A WMI (global manufacturer identifier) is made up of the first three symbols. The first character denotes the origin country. Automobiles built in the United States begin with 1, 4, or 5; automobiles made in Germany begin with W, and so on. The second symbol reveals some data about the maker. This figure is frequently the initial letter of the producer’s name, for example, A for Audi, B for BMW, and so on. However, this isn't always the case and is contingent on the next figure.

Along with the first two digits, the third digit denotes the automobile’s kind or production division. Model, body, restraints, gearbox type, and engine information are all included in positions 4 through 8. -The ninth letter is a "check digit," which is used to detect ID fraud particularly. The model year is indicated by the tenth figure. With the exception of I, O, Q, U, and Z, which do not exist, letters B through Y denote model years from 1981 to 2000. Numbers 1 through 9 were utilized from 2001 to 2009.

The elements began their journey at A in 2010 and will continue to do so until 2030. The manufacturing plant is represented by the element in position 11, with each producer having its own set of codes. The maker designated positions 12 through 17 on the assembly line as a production sequence.
